Visitation Policy

Constantine Assisted Living welcomes family involvement and understands how important connections are to our residents’ wellbeing. Please review the following guidelines to help us maintain a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for everyone in our home.

Visitation Hours

To ensure residents enjoy adequate rest, mealtimes, and personal care routines, visitation is available during the following hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Holidays: Please contact us for adjusted hours

Please note: Visits outside of standard hours may be arranged on a case-by-case basis with advance notice. Contact our administrative staff to coordinate.

General Visitation Guidelines

To protect the comfort and privacy of all residents, we ask all visitors to abide by the following guidelines:

  • All visitors must sign in at the entrance upon arrival and sign out upon departure.
  • Please limit the number of simultaneous visitors to 2–3 per resident to avoid overcrowding shared spaces.
  • Visitors are asked to keep voices at a reasonable level, particularly in common areas and hallways.
  • Food and beverages brought into the facility must be approved for the resident’s dietary needs. Please check with staff before bringing outside food.
  • Do not enter other residents’ private rooms without express permission from the resident and staff.
  • Smoking, vaping, or use of tobacco products is strictly prohibited on the premises.

Health & Safety Requirements

The health of our residents is our highest priority. We ask all visitors to honor the following health-related requirements:

  • Visitors who are experiencing symptoms of illness — including fever, cough, sore throat, nausea, or vomiting — are asked to postpone their visit until they are symptom-free.
  • During periods of elevated community illness or outbreaks (flu season, respiratory illness, etc.), additional precautions may be required. Staff will notify families of any temporary restrictions.
  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the facility and use is strongly encouraged upon entry.
  • Masks may be required during certain health advisories. Staff will communicate these requirements in advance when possible.

If you have recently tested positive for a communicable illness or have been exposed to one, please contact us before visiting so we can work out an alternative way to stay in touch with your loved one.

Children & Pets

Children: Children are welcome at Constantine Assisted Living and their visits often bring tremendous joy to our residents. We ask that children be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times and that their activity levels remain appropriate for the setting.

Pets: Approved therapy animals or small, well-behaved pets may visit with advance approval from our administration. All visiting animals must be current on vaccinations and documentation may be requested. Please contact us at least 48 hours before bringing an animal to the facility.

Resident Rights During Visitation

Our residents always have the right to:

  • Decline or limit visitors at any time, for any reason — their wishes will be respected and enforced by staff.
  • Request that visits occur in private areas of the home when available.
  • Conduct visits via phone or video call when in-person visits are not possible or preferred.
  • Have a staff member present during a visit if they feel more comfortable with support.

Special Circumstances

We understand that life brings exceptional moments — including end-of-life situations, medical events, or other urgent family needs. In such circumstances, our standard visitation hours may be extended or modified. Please contact our administrative team directly to discuss your situation confidentially.

Constantine Assisted Living is committed to supporting families during difficult times. We will do everything within our capacity to facilitate meaningful connection between residents and their loved ones.
